When summer comes, everyone starts thinking about vacation, beach, and suntans. Well, at Softescu, we like to think about all those amazing events that will take place this summer…and at the beginning of the fall.
So far, we have three major events to attend to, yet we will keep everyone notified if we will be attending some other events. With two events in the States and two in Europe, it’s USA à Europe à USAàEurope for us...you’ll see below what we mean.
Texas Camp: June 2-4, 2017, Austin, TX
So, our summer begins with the Texas Camp, an event that takes place from the 2nd to the 4th of June in Austin Texas.
“Texas Camp is a homegrown event with the purpose of bringing the large Texas Drupal community together to get to know each other, share projects and ideas, and help newcomers find their way in the wide-open frontier of the Drupal world.” - state the organizers on their official website.
Don’t forget to check out the event’s schedule, as it is full of interesting things.
Drupal Summer Camp 2017: June 29-2 July, Barcelona, Spain
Coming back to Europe for our 2nd summer DrupalCamp. Long time no see Barcelona. Actually, since the DC Barcelona, we haven’t seen the amazing Spanish Drupal community at its best. A great event in a great location, so if in Europe at the end of June, you may want to check it out.
Drupal Asheville 2017: July 14-15, 2017, Asheville, North Carolina
Coming back to the States, this time somewhere to the North. We are looking forward to taking part in DrupalCamp Asheville. Lots of training, coding and networking sessions. Besides being engaged in the Drupal community work, the organizers from DC Asheville are also actively involved in the North Carolina Urban/Suburban Black Bear Study, a collaborative project between North Carolina State University (NCSU) and the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Programmers doing their bear care, now shouldn’t we share?
Drupalaton 2017: 10-13 August, Balatonfüred, Hungary
Maybe the last summer event before DC Europe, Drupalaton is a great occasion to meet the Hungarian Drupal community. Lots of sessions on all the major Drupal versions, and even a Cruise Party, which you should not miss. Book your tickets as fast as you can and keep an eye on the schedule to see the full program.
DrupalCon Vienna: September 26-29, 2017 - Vienna, Austria
After quite a break, here we go to the European DrupalCon. This is the first event of the fall, and it’s a great opportunity to meet everyone in the European community. DrupalCon Vienna will be held at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center. Prices vary from 450€ to 600€, but, if, in Europe, this DrupalCon should not be missed. Last year we had a great time at Dublin, so we will make sure that we will repeat the experience, this time in Vienna.
See y’all at these events, peeps!
