Drupal 8.1.0 to be released on...

Each and every day, more and more modules are added or migrated to Drupal 8 and we are getting closer and closer to the day when all drupalists will leave the world of beta and go for a new version of Drupal. So, bye-bye beta, and welcome Drupal 8.1.0!

The official launch of Drupal 8.1.0 is announced to take place on April 20, 2016. Another important date in every Drupal dev’s calendar is February 24, 2016 when Drupal 6 will be declared EOL (end of life). Check out more about Drupal 6 EOL.

Until the 24th, additions will be made to Drupal 8.1.0, and after that, the community will mainly focus on developing the next version (Drupal 8.2.0) which will probably be released somewhere in October 2016.

Many things to be happening these days in the Drupal world, but it's all for the best.

If you’re having a website on D6, now it would be the time to think about a migration, either to Drupal 7 or to Drupal 8. For more details about a possible migration, contact us now.
