HR CLUB Drupal Powered Portal for an NGO
HR Club is the Romanian Association of Human Resources Professionals. For more than 11 years, the HR Club has boosted the human resources development in Romania by supporting and promoting the best practices in the field. They contacted Softescu for a professional, yet fresh look that would reaffirm their expertise in the human resources field and would make them stand out from the crowd.
We’ve started from their logo (the main source of inspiration), and our designers combined it with a user-friendly digital experience inspired by a classic newspaper layout. This layout was chosen due to the amount of information that needs to be displayed on the website (events, news, jobs), without compromising the UX aspect.
The website is fully responsive, due to the bootstrap grid and has special design features for mobile devices. We used Parallax effects to make it as dynamic and full of life as possible.
One of the innovations that we used is the main menu which has fully customizable submenu items. Different from other menu blocks, in this one the user can even add videos or a short description of the article, to make the navigation experience, even more enjoyable.
All content can be edited and translated from Romanian to English and vice-versa.
The new website allows content editors to create event pages that are then inserted in the general agenda. The events are used to highlight agenda, speakers and manage registrations with a click of a button, saving a lot of precious time.
In their previous, Joomla based platform, each new event required lots of technical knowledge to publish content and sometimes it required also custom programming or layout styling.
This project was completed once we’ve migrated all the content from their previous platform to Drupal. Due to the quantity of information added on the website, the actual migration was a challenge in itself.
After the Drupal migration, the content became more accessible, the UX became better and this led to an increase in monthly traffic.
