The Challenge
A global provider of cleaning, sanitation, and hygiene solutions operating in more than 90 countries needed a unified digital presence capable of serving highly localised content to each market while maintaining consistent brand standards and centralised content management workflows.
The scale of the project was significant: content teams across dozens of regional offices needed editorial autonomy over their local subsites, while corporate communications required moderation controls and structured approval workflows. At the same time, the platform had to deliver fast, reliable performance to users worldwide, regardless of geography.
Our Solution
Softescu architected and built a Drupal-based multi-site platform powering 90+ individual country subsites from a single codebase. The solution introduced structured content workflows with moderation controls, giving regional editors independence within guardrails set by the global team. A unified responsive design system ensured brand consistency across all markets without duplication of effort.
For performance and scalability, the hosting infrastructure was built on Kubernetes clusters with dynamic scaling of Varnish caching and frontend nodes, backed by a distributed MySQL architecture. Content delivery was optimised through CloudFront CDN integration, ensuring fast load times across all geographies. SOLR-powered search provided users with advanced, relevant results across the entire platform. CI/CD pipelines were maintained to streamline automated deployments across all environments.
