Rethinking Drupal DevOps: DrupalCon Pittsburgh's CI/CD Innovations

DrupalCon Pittsburgh, a highly anticipated event for the Drupal community, recently took place, and it exceeded all expectations with its exciting announcements and groundbreaking initiatives. One of the highlights of the event was the announcement of "PitchBurgh," a revolutionary approach to fund innovative Drupal-related ideas.

As a company deeply committed to open-source technologies and a longtime contributor to the Drupal community, Softescu was thrilled to be a sponsor for DrupalCon Pittsburgh.

The excitement peaked when Dries Buytaert, the founder of Drupal, took the stage to announce the creation of PitchBurgh, an innovative approach to funding Drupal-related ideas. The concept behind PitchBurgh was simple yet powerful - to provide a platform where individuals with cool Drupal projects could pitch their ideas to potential sponsors and investors.

The PitchBurgh process was designed to be inclusive, transparent, and supportive. Anyone with a cool Drupal project could submit their proposal through the PitchBurgh submission form. There were a total of 35 submissions that were vetted by a panel of experienced Drupal community members. At the end, the audience got to cast a vote on the top initiatives to receive funding.

DrupalCon Pittsburgh was undeniably another successful event for the Drupal community and we are looking forward to the next one.
