Advanced technical skills
- Systems Administration: Experience with operating system administration and maintenance, including Windows Server, Linux, macOS, and deep knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware).
- Network Administration: Configuring and managing networks, including configuring firewalls, routers, VPNs, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Security: Advanced knowledge of cyber security, firewalls, encryption, controlled access, endpoint protection, attack detection and prevention.
- Cloud computing: Experience managing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and SaaS solutions.
- Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Ability to identify and resolve complex hardware and software problems, including those related to operating systems, servers, storage, and applications.
- Infrastructure monitoring and management: Experience with IT infrastructure monitoring and management tools such as Nagios, SolarWinds, or Zabbix.
- Scripting and Automation: Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to automate tasks and increase efficiency.
- Backup and Recovery: Experience with backup and recovery solutions, including planning and managing disaster recovery processes.
- Mobile Device Management (MDM): Knowledge in configuring and maintaining MDM solutions for mobile devices.
Project and support management skills
- IT Team Coordination: Ability to work in technical teams, manage smaller teams or complex IT projects.
- ITIL/Service Desk Methodologies: Knowledge of ITIL and other best practice methodologies for incident and IT service management.
- Supplier and partner management: Effective collaboration with external IT service providers, hardware or software to solve complex problems.
- Managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs): Meeting SLAs, managing customer expectations and escalating issues to higher levels.
Interpersonal and communication skills
- Language skills: English and French (required)
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams, translating complex issues into accessible language.
- Customer service: Strong customer relationship skills, ability to respond quickly and efficiently to requests and issues.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to guide and coach less experienced colleagues on the team by providing technical support and mentorship.

- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Practical experience and previous projects
- Relevant experience in similar senior technical engineer positions or senior IT support roles (level 2/3).
- Experience in large-scale IT infrastructure management, including server, storage and network maintenance.
